KAVANCE TONG

Pastor Tong Wai Ming has served at the Tsz Oi Baptist Church in Hong Kong for over 6 years, overseeing various ministries within the church. This experience has deepened his understanding of the practical application of faith in everyday life. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Hong Kong Bethel Bible Seminary in 2017, and his passion for theological thoughts, particularly in the realm of Pauline theology, continued after graduation.

In 2022, Pastor Tong Wai Ming began work on a Master’s degree in Christian Theological Studies at ACTS Seminaries. His goal is to teach the Bible to the congregation in order to increase their understanding and love for God’s Word. We are grateful that, in 2023, he joined the pastoral staff at VCAC, where he is now responsible for the ministry of shepherding our youth and young adults.

Before becoming a pastor, Pastor Tong Wai Ming taught violin and composed music for television and advertising. Through these past endeavours, his teaching skills have been honed for his present calling as a pastor. Pastor Tong also appreciates the impact his background in music has on his spiritual life and calling to ministry. He and his wife Ady have two children they joyfully nurture, son Cephas and daughter Elpis.
