Children are very precious to God. VCAC Kids is dedicated to reflect His love and care for children through our various programs and events. We run weekly programs throughout most of the year and organize several seasonal events. Each program and event has their own unique style while sharing the same vision: to bring children to know God and live a Christ-centred life.
VCAC Kids
REGULAR PROGRAMS
Parents/guardians are required to register their children before joining any program. Registration forms are available in the Nursery and Room 105.
Each child must be signed in and out by their parents unless they provide VCAC Kids with written authorization to allow a third party to pick up their child.
Cradle Roll
Ages 3 & Under ● Sundays ● 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Cradle Roll is our nursery program available during the Sunday services starting at 9:30 am. Located in the Sanctuary balcony, the nursery provides open spaces for children to play and explore as well as private washroom and changing facilities. Parents are welcome to drop-off their child or stay during the Sunday services.
We have live audio of Knight Street’s English service (9:30 am) and the Cantonese service (11:15 am) so that you can still worship God in the nursery. As well, audio recordings of the three Sunday services, Knight Street English, Cantonese and Mandarin, are continually updated and available online.
Sunday School
Ages 3-13 ● Sundays ● 9:30 am – 10:45 am
Sunday School provides a cozier setting where children learn about God’s Word and how to apply it to their lives, with a deep emphasis on building solid Biblical foundations. Joint Singspiration starts each morning before splitting into different classes. The classes are sorted by the following age groups:
- Preschool & Kindergarten (Room 107)
- Grades 1-3 (Room 105)
- Grades 4-6 (Room 111)
Every first Sunday of each month, the children will join Knight Street English’s service for Singspiration. Seats at the front of the Sanctuary are reserved for children and families.
After Sunday School, all classes join together in Room 105 for Kidz Corner, where children can have a snack and play games before Kidz Church begins.
Kidz Church
Ages 3-13 ● Sundays ● 11:15 am – 12:30 pm
Kidz Church is our big group session where kids learn about lasting values that will help them live a God-centred life. Similar to adult Sunday services, we begin with Singspiration before sharing about God’s Word and how it will help them with their journey with God. Kidz Church starts in Room 105 right after Kidz Corner.
Awana Clubs
Ages 3-13 ● Saturdays ● 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Awana Clubs provide a Christ-centred program where learning about God’s Word is fun! We have different clubs for different age groups, each with unique games, activities and curricula. We charge a weekly fee of $1, but we also accept a $25 payment for one nontransferable year of sessions.

Awana is a separate organization that partners with churches around the world to provide programs that foster biblical discipleship and leadership for children and their club leaders, respectively. One of these programs is Awana Clubs. VCAC Knight Street Church is a registered partner of Awana International Canada, and its Awana Clubs are operated by VCAC Kids. SEASONAL EVENTS
These events are held throughout the year and have their own registration systems and fees separate from the regular programs.
Funfest
Ages 3-13 ● October 31 ● 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Funfest is a thematic carnival that boasts games, candy and prizes! It is a safe alternative to Halloween trick-or-treating. One ticket for gives your child unlimited access to all carnival games, one snack, a goodie bag and the opportunity to trade points from the games for prizes (tickets are not required for parents/guardians). We also have a room dedicated to parents.
VCAC Family Christmas
All Ages ● Christmas Holiday ● Evening
VCAC Family Christmas is our annual event celebrating the birth of Jesus, organized by members of Knight Street English as well as the Cantonese and Mandarin congregations. This celebration highlights the diverse congregations that make up the VCAC family and is conducted simultaneously in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. People of all ages and walks of life are welcome to this festive spectacle! Admission is free. Be sure to check the VCAC website regularly for updates (under VCAC Christmas Celebration).
Easter Eggstravaganza
Ages 3-13 ● Saturday, Easter Weekend ● 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Easter Eggstravaganza is an afternoon of fun packed with Easter-themed activities and the annual egg hunt! Be sure to check the VCAC website regularly for event and pricing updates. Extra perks are included for children attending our Awana Clubs.
DayKnight Camp
Ages 6-13 ● August 14 – 18 & August 21-25 ● Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
DayKnight Camp is a fun and interactive summer day camp for children ages 6 to 13. Through storytelling, discussions, crafts, and activities/games, we hope that children will know more about God’s love and learn good values to live a fruitful life, while connecting with other children! Local field trips will also be included.
