VCAC-Knight Church COVID-19 Reopen Plan
Following the Provincial Health Measures for reducing risk in the transmissions of COVID-19, VCAC is undertaking the following steps when we reopen for fellowships, and small groups:
1. Implementing measures to reduce the gathering risks both inside and outside church building.
1.1 Reducing the risk of person to person transmission
1.1.1 No public event of more than 50 people can take place.
1.1.2 Multiple groups of 50 people are not allowed inside the church building.
1.1.3 All indoor events will be held at sanctuary (Max.50), room 211 (Max.8), and room 104 (Max.10).
1.1.4 Congregants should maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) between others.
1.1.5 Congregants should wear a mask inside church building and mask will be provided by their own.
1.1.6 No shared food or drinks in all events.
1.1.7 Preregistration is required for all events, e.g. fellowship, and small group.
1.1.8 Preregistration procedure:
8.a Contact the fellowship committee or your small group leader.
8.b Lists will be sent to church administrator one day before the event.
8.c Admin staff will check the lists when people arrive.
8.d Names not on the list will not be allowed to attend, unless there is a vacancy.
1.1.9 Church is scheduled to open for fellowship or small group at these times:
9.a Thursday: 7-9pm
9.b Friday: 7-9pm
9.c Saturday: 10-12 noon; 2:30-4:30pm; 7-9pm
9.d Should make booking 7 days before the meeting.
9.e The booking may be arranged on alternate weeks or once a month, it depend on how many booking by other group.
A. Gathering at VCAC Building Measures
1.1a Parking Lot
Keep distance of 2m (6ft); wear a mask when physical distancing cannot be maintained;
1.1b Outside Main Entrance
b.1 Need temperature checking.
b.2 Check and record personal information of attendees: name, telephone number, date and time.
b.3 Congregants should stay at home if unwell or if any of their direct family members are unwell.
b.4 Congregants arriving from other countries should quarantine for 14 days.
1.1c Main Entrance Lobby
c.1 Should hand sanitizer and no handshaking or hugging.
c.2 Fellow the one way direction to sanctuary, room 211, room 104 and restroom.
1.1d Sanctuary (Max. 50), Room 211 (max. 8) and Room 104 Chapel (max. of 10 ).
d.1 Congregants should follow the one way directions for entering and leaving the room
d.2 Designated seating plan is required.
d.3 Congregants should maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) between others at all times.
d.4 Congregants should wear a mask all the time and mask will be provided by their own.
d.5 No congregational singing.
1.1e Foyer
No one is allowed to stay or wait there for extended periods of time.
1.1f Hallway and Staircase
One-way direction in hallways, staircase and physical distancing of 2 metres (6 feet).
1.1g Restroom
g.1 Restrooms are open on main floor, room 211, room 104 chapel and Awana circle.
g.2 Only one person will be allowed to be inside the restroom at any one time.
g.3 Restroom light and exhaust fan switches are turned on at all times until the church closes.
1.1h Kitchen
Closed at all times.
1.1i Copier room
Only 1 person is allowed in the copier room at the time.
1.2 Reducing the risk of surface transmission
1.2.1 The third floor, balcony, nursery, library, 102, 105, 107 will be closed.
1.2.2 The water dispenser will not be available.
B. Gathering at places outside of VCAC Building Measures (parks etc.)
1.1 Fellowship and Small group should inform VCAC staff Edmund 10 days before meeting.
1.a Gathering location, date, time and number of people is required.
1.b Participants’ full name, phone number and address is required.
1.2 Participants should maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) between others at all time.
1.3 Participants should wear a mask when they cannot maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) between others. Mask will be provided by their own.
1.4 No sharing of food, meals and drinks in all meetings.
